Essi Cambiano
Produced, handcrafted and designed by Eva Fisahn
Essi Cambiano is a piece inspired by the Italian Po River, focusing on its historical and symbolic significance. The Po River, originating in the Monte de Piemonte and flowing into the Adriatic Sea, plays a crucial role in Italy's history and mythology.
The piece embodies five key concepts:
Land and Fertility: The pyramidal shape symbolizes the mountains and fertile lands nurtured by the river.
River's Journey: A crack represents the river's course, from its source to its mouth, metaphorically reflecting life's journey.
Birth and New Beginnings: A small faceted red stone symbolizes new life and fertility, akin to the river's nurturing presence.
Division of Empires: Textural contrasts between sheet metal and filigree illustrate historical divisions, such as those in ancient Roman times.
Transformation and Metamorphosis: The piece's ability to open and transform signifies change and growth. This ring is worn with the pyramidal part against the palm and opens to reveal a red zircon, capturing the essence of transformation and new beginnings.
